On the Southeastern coast of the Marianas Island of Guam the Inarajan or Inalåhan village is located. Its original Chamorro name, Inalåhan, was changed when transcribed during Spanish control of the island.
The village’s history predates the 1521 discovery of the island Guam by the Spaniards. Today, it is the most preserved of the Spanish era villages since it is known for its rich history and culture. The village’s population has decreased since the island’s 2000 census. Their population then was just 3052.
The municipality of Inarajan includes the Malojloj community, which is in the hills north of the central village. Malojloj and Inarajan celebrate a separate village fiestas. Being said, many residents from the Malojloj section of Inalahan, claim themselves to be a separate village, seeing as they celebrate different fiestas and they have their own land boundary.
Famous spots in here would include the village’s pre-World War II church, historic village architecture, the Gef Pa’go Chamorro Village, the ancient Paintings of Chief Gadao’s Cave and its statue, Bear Rock, Inarajan Pools, and Southern Comfort Ranch.
